Dangerous grate
The traffic light here is set into the roadway
Looking North on Ruthven from Nelson Street in the 80km/h zone. Should be 60 well before Northbound traffic gets to Nelson Street.
Confusing intersection for cyclists as Ruthven St crosses Herries St - Hugh is in the left-turning lane here and need to merge right - or we could have cycle-signs that allow us to go through in the turning lane. Note the cycle lane starts on the other side but the sign is obscured by a branch.
Looking North on Ruthven Street from Nelson Street - lots of room for bikes here
No room for cycles and concrete median strip is a hazard.
Footpaths (which are legal for cyclists to use) are sporadically available depending on recent developments.
There's a car in the bike lane! (There is no signage on leaving this fast food joint to warn of the cycle path)
Barely adequte room on the shoulder
The pub here has its own turn ing lane compele with concrete obstacle wich is a risk to cylists.
A cycle lane appears
No footpath to which a cyclist can retreat
Taxi zone outside the pub is a further cycling hazard potentially forcing cylists into the traffic
Looking South - plenty of room for cyclists but no signage
Road is in poor condition here at the intersection of Ruthven and James Streets. Major cycle hazard next to the right-turning lane.
